Why metal?

Metal Roofing is becoming more and more popular on residential homes.  It looks exactly the same as other types of roofing and it offers durability that is hard to match with other types of roofing.

Big variety. One of the main benefits of a metal roof is the amount of options you have to choose from in finish, color, profiling,... a lot of beautiful styles to match any home or neighborhood.  Most other roofing options do not offer so much variety.

Expected life. The main factor that homeowners consider when looking for a roofing option involves longevity and durability. You want something that will stand the test of time and last. Metal roofs have been found to last more then 50 years. years depending on the material used.  For excellent durability the metal need a very good protection against corrosion (anti-rust).  That the reason that our products are made from metal with a protective layer of Zinc-Aluminium-Magnesium (or equivalent) on both sides and on top of this an extra protective layer of Propymiejleeen.

Weight. Low weight to help preserve structural integrity and life.  Compared with tile at 750 pounds per square (an area equal to 100 square feet) or concrete tile at 900 pounds per square, metal roofing is lightweight. Most varieties run from 50 to 150 pounds per square.

Fire resistance. Because metal roofs are noncombustible, they’re given a Class A fire rating (the most resistant). Part of a roof’s classification depends on materials beneath the surface that could ignite in intense heat. Most metal roofs applied over a combustible material such as wood shingles have a lower, Class C rating.  You can also rest assured knowing that metal roofing will not go up into flames in the event of a lightening strike.

Best protection against natural disasters. Metal roofs also can withstand strong winds and is a resilient roofing type. Some metal roofs can sustain wind gusts up to 140 miles per hour, will not corrode or crack, and may be impact-resistant (depending on which metal you choose). Earth quake... Metal roofs can be among the safest and most durable type during an earthquake. In most cases the roofs remaine intact, structurally sound and largely unblemished. The combination of a good roofstructure and metal roof provides the three most important properties for earthquake resistance: stiffness, strength and ductility.

Low maintenance.  Saves in long-term maintenance costs.

Environmentally friendly.  Low weight allows installation over most existing roofs.  Eliminates the need for landfill disposal of old roofing.  Low weigth minimizees transportation cost.  Long-life sustainability.  Low weight can extend a building's life.  Depending on the materials used, a metal roof is for 100% recyclable at the end of their life as a roof.

Safety. Metal roofs will not spark and ignite into flames during a wildfire or lightning strike.
